Fetch collaborated with Reel Talk Agency to create a movie depicting the three interconnected phases of transformation explored in this edition's first three shoots.

Metamorphosis Concept Explained by Joy Mao:

Metamorphosis explores the character shifts and emerging adulthood that occur during the college years. This formative time bridges youth and adulthood through three interconnected phases of transformation.

In Bloom represents enjoyment in late adolescence with excitement for the future. With the world awaiting, this freedom represents infinite possibilities and moments before taking a big leap. The sense of naivety and youthful optimism is portrayed in simple, basic, visual representations of youth. We chose a faded film look to represent memory and the fleeting nature it embodies.

Chrysalis Concept Explanation:

Chrysalis is a visual representation of looking inward and the internal battles that occur while getting to know yourself while still trying to learn about the world around you. Isolation, self-doubt, and identity fragmentation and reconstruction are all challenges to be faced when breaking down old versions of self to make space for the new. A raw and real representation of change is created in black and white, reflecting introspection and contrast. There’s a tension in transformation and honesty in the stillness.

Taking Flight Concept Explanation:

Taking Flight is a final visual of things coming to fruition. Emergence exists through an integration with your past self rather than a full abandonment of youth. While you’ve reached adulthood, you bring your youth with you wherever you go. The high saturation and warm, vibrant tint represent a vitality, growth, and harmony between the phases of transformation.
